About PGConf.PL 2026

PGConf.PL is a new one-day PostgreSQL conference for Poland and Central Europe, run by PostgreSQL Europe, the non-profit behind PGConf.EU and Nordic PGDay. The first edition takes place on Tuesday 24 November 2026 at the ARCHE Dwór Uphagena hotel in Gdańsk's Dolne Miasto district, a short walk from the city centre. It is pitched at DBAs and application developers who run or are considering Postgres, plus contributors and anyone weighing it against proprietary databases. The published schedule splits sessions into DBA and application-developer streams after a shared opening, with 45-minute talks from engineers at Postgres vendors and consultancies on topics such as huge pages and memory tuning, AI-assisted SQL and Postgres in agent-driven applications; Bruce Momjian of EDB is among the speakers. Talks are in English. Tickets are cheap by conference standards: EUR 60 before VAT for a standard pass, EUR 120 for a supporter ticket that adds a donation to the community, and a small pool at EUR 50 with a launch discount code; speakers attend free. Registration goes through postgresql.eu and needs a free postgresql.org community account. As a first edition it is small, which makes it a good place to meet the people behind the regional Postgres community and to ask operational questions directly.
