About KCD Florida 2026 (Miami)
KCD Florida is the state's first Kubernetes Community Day, a one-day, volunteer-run event on Friday 11 December 2026 in Miami, approved and supported by the CNCF as part of its KCD programme. The organisers pitch Miami as a meeting point for the North American, Latin American and Caribbean cloud native communities, and the organising team includes engineers from companies such as Cuemby, WSO2, Defense Unicorns, AWS and Nubank. The programme mixes keynotes, technical talks, panels, hands-on workshops, use-case talks and live demos, with listed themes of Kubernetes, platform engineering, DevOps, AI infrastructure, security, observability and FinOps; the call for proposals also asked for service mesh, edge, WebAssembly, container networking and batch workloads. The call closed on 6 September. Tickets are cheap and rise by date: $100 until 29 November and $150 for late registration up to 10 December. As a first-year KCD it will be small, which usually means easy access to speakers and organisers. The venue is listed as a convention centre in Miami, but the CNCF page and the call for proposals disagree on which one, so check the event page before booking a hotel. A practical end-of-year option for Southeast US and Caribbean engineers.
