About DevConf.IN 2027
DevConf.IN is the Indian edition of the DevConf open source community conferences organised by Red Hat, and it earns a place here because operations and cloud-native work make up much of the 2027 call. Of the seven topic areas, four sit squarely in DevOps territory: engineering operations and IT automation (SRE, observability, Ansible, infrastructure as code, incident automation), modern infrastructure (containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift, KubeVirt, edge), platform engineering and developer experience, and software supply chain security. The others cover enterprise AI and MLOps, data sovereignty, and an open track for Linux, Rust and upstream work. Expect projects Red Hat backs, such as OpenShift and Ansible, to feature heavily, although the call warns that sales and marketing talks are rejected, and booths go through the same review with no paid sponsorship. Formats are 45-minute talks, 15-minute lightning talks and 75-minute workshops, all in English and in person at MIT World Peace University in Pune on 26 and 27 February 2027. Attendance is free but needs a registration, which opens with the schedule in mid-December; the regular free tickets ran out in 2026. The call for proposals is open until 8 November 2026, and speakers pay their own travel. Recordings from 2026 are on the DevConf India YouTube channel.
