About Conf42 Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) 2027

Conf42 Site Reliability Engineering 2027 is a free online conference on Thursday 4 March 2027. SRE is one of the longest-running Conf42 themes, with an edition every year since 2020, and its 2025 edition was the largest in the series so far at 99 talks; 2026 was more compact at 33. The format is a single day of pre-recorded talks that stream on YouTube at a set time and stay on demand. Content in 2026 covered SRE practice and SLOs, incident response and postmortems, distributed systems at scale, performance and capacity planning, observability, resilience and chaos engineering, cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, AI for reliability work, and security, with speakers from Spotify, Bloomberg, Visa, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Walmart, Sony Pictures, Microsoft, AWS and Rootly. That mix of large enterprises and finance makes it useful for seeing how reliability practices work in heavily regulated environments. The call for papers on cfp.ninja is open until 4 February 2027. Talks are in English, speakers record remotely, and there is no fee to attend. A good free alternative or warm-up for SREcon, which comes later in the spring.
