About Conf42 Observability 2027
Conf42 Observability 2027 is a free online conference on Thursday 9 September 2027, part of a Conf42 theme that has run every year since 2023. The format is a single day of pre-recorded talks that stream on YouTube at a set time and stay available on demand. The 2026 edition had 19 talks covering AI-assisted observability, logs, metrics and traces, OpenTelemetry and instrumentation, monitoring, alerting and dashboards, reliability and debugging, distributed systems and Kubernetes, and using telemetry for business and product insight; 2025 was bigger at 51 talks. Speakers came from Google, Adobe, General Motors, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Snowflake and Rootly, plus observability vendors such as groundcover and VictoriaMetrics. Expect a mix of practitioner case studies and tooling talks, with OpenTelemetry adoption and alert fatigue as recurring themes. The call for papers on cfp.ninja has a long window and stays open until 12 August 2027. Attendance is free, talks are in English, and speakers record remotely, so it is an easy first talk for engineers with a good instrumentation or debugging story. Pair it with Observability Day at KubeCon if you want the in-person version.
