About SREcon27 Europe/Middle East/Africa
SREcon EMEA is the European edition of USENIX's site reliability engineering conference and a non-vendor gathering for SREs, production engineers and infrastructure leads in the region. USENIX has fixed the 2027 edition for 5 to 7 October at The Convention Centre Dublin, the venue it has used every year since 2024. The programme is chosen by a programme committee of working SREs from an open call for proposals, which in recent years has opened in spring and closed in late May. Expect three days of parallel talk tracks on incident response, capacity, reliability of data systems, observability, cost and organisational practice, plus a dedicated discussion track run under Chatham House rules, ask-me-anything sessions with plenary speakers, hands-on workshops such as incident simulations, and a four-minute lightning-talk session. The tone is engineering-heavy and sceptical of hype; vendors are confined to the sponsor showcase. USENIX publishes slides on the programme page and posts free video recordings within a few weeks of the event, which makes the back catalogue a useful resource even for people who cannot travel. Registration is priced in US dollars with early-bird, standard and late tiers, plus member, student and hardship discounts. The 2026 Dublin edition sold out, so registering early is sensible.
