About Conf42 Database DevOps 2027
Conf42 Database DevOps 2027 is a free online conference on Thursday 27 May 2027 about bringing databases into the same delivery and operations practices as application code. It is only the second edition: the first, in June 2026, had 24 talks across schema migrations and CI/CD for databases, AI and LLMs applied to database work, governance, security and privacy, performance tuning, automation and autonomous operations, distributed and cloud native databases, data pipelines, and availability and failover. Speakers came from Capital One, Charles Schwab, DoorDash, General Motors, Intuit, JPMorgan Chase, MariaDB, Mastercard, Meta, Microsoft and IBM, which shows how much of this problem lives in finance and large enterprises. The format is the usual Conf42 one: a day of pre-recorded talks that stream on YouTube at a set time and stay on demand, free to watch. The call for papers on cfp.ninja is open until 29 April 2027. It is one of the few events anywhere dedicated to database delivery, so it suits DBAs moving toward automation, platform engineers who own stateful services, and teams fighting slow or risky schema changes in their pipelines.
