About Conf42 Chaos Engineering 2027
Conf42 Chaos Engineering 2027 is a free online conference on Thursday 16 December 2027 and closes out the Conf42 calendar for the year. The chaos engineering theme has been part of the series since 2020 and moved from February to December starting with the 3 December 2026 edition. It runs as a single day of pre-recorded talks that stream on YouTube at a set time and remain on demand. Based on recent editions, expect talks on running fault-injection experiments and game days safely, resilience and fault tolerance in distributed systems, reliability engineering and SRE practice, cloud and infrastructure failure modes, microservice architecture, and the resilience of AI and data pipelines; past presenters came from AWS, Microsoft, Walmart, Harness and Steadybit. No talks had been announced when we checked, which is expected more than a year ahead, and the call for papers on cfp.ninja is open until 18 November 2027. Attendance is free and talks are in English. A year-end option for SREs who want to see how other teams test failure before production does it for them.
