About CloudCon Sydney 2026

CloudCon Sydney is a community-run cloud-native conference organised by KCD Sydney Incorporated, the not-for-profit group behind the local Kubernetes Community Days chapter; the 2025 edition was run together with the Cloud Native Sydney and Cloud Native Melbourne meetup organisers. It is aimed at platform, DevOps and SRE engineers, cloud architects and security engineers from Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific. The 2026 edition spends two days at ICC Sydney in Darling Harbour on a single track in the Cockle Bay Room, so nobody has to choose between sessions. The first morning is given to two parallel three-hour hands-on workshops (bring a laptop), and both days carry 20-minute practitioner talks and five-minute lightning talks. The programme spans Kubernetes operations, platform engineering, security, observability and AI workloads on Kubernetes; confirmed 2026 talks include eBPF-based noisy-neighbour detection, Envoy and Istio traffic behaviour, and running Argo CD across 16,000 applications. Speakers come from Australian engineering teams such as Canva, SafetyCulture and Easygo as well as from tooling vendors. One ticket costs AUD 174.90 including GST and covers both days. The event follows the CNCF code of conduct. The call for speakers ran on Sessionize from mid-April to mid-August 2026 and is closed.
