About Chaos Carnival 2027

Chaos Carnival 2027 is expected in late January, but Harness had not announced it when we checked, so the date shown is the 2026 edition moved forward 52 weeks to the same weekday, and is unconfirmed. Chaos Carnival is an annual virtual conference about chaos engineering and software resilience testing that started in 2021 under ChaosNative, the company behind the open source LitmusChaos project, and has been run by Harness since 2023; recent editions were held on 22 January 2025 and 21 January 2026. The 2026 programme focused on AI-assisted resilience testing: chaos experiments, validating failover, using deployment, feature flag, infrastructure and dependency changes to predict risk, and handling incidents with less human toil. Featured speakers included well-known resilience practitioners such as Adrian Cockcroft, Adrian Hornsby and Seth Eliot, alongside SRE and testing teams from large companies and a panel on resilience practices. Because it is vendor-hosted, the line-up mixes independent experts with Harness product and customer talks, so choose sessions accordingly. Sessions from past editions are available on demand from the Harness event page after registering. A short, focused option for SREs and QA engineers building a fault-injection practice.
