DevOpsDays Cairo 2027

DevOpsDays Cairo is Egypt's DevOpsDays edition and an unusual one in the series: it is organized by ITIDA, the government's IT industry development agency, through its Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), rather than by an independent volunteer group, and registration was free in 2025 and 2026 (2027 registration had not opened by mid-October 2026). The September 2027 meeting will be the tenth in a row since 2018, again on a Saturday at the Creativa Innovation Hub in Dokki, Giza, in Greater Cairo. The 2027 programme is not published yet, but recent editions give a fair picture. The single day opens with remarks from ITIDA and SECC leadership, followed by keynotes from DevOpsDays global organizers and DORA people (Nathen Harvey, Daniel Maher and Yvo van Doorn in 2026; Andrew Clay Shafer in 2025), moderated panels on workforce skills, psychological safety and governance, conference talks, and hands-on workshops on subjects such as developer-productivity metrics and agentic AI in delivery pipelines. A DevOps and AI hackathon with a student category runs alongside, with an online first round and a final at the venue. The 2026 theme was sustainable DevOps in the agentic-AI era. The audience runs from developers, SREs, QA and security engineers to engineering managers and CIOs. Highlight videos go up on the SECC YouTube channel.
