Swiss Cloud Native Day 2027

The 2027 edition has not been announced yet; these dates are expected, based on the series' habit of meeting on the third Thursday of September, and the venue is unconfirmed. Swiss Cloud Native Day is a one-day community conference run by the Bern non-profit association bernerit.rocks with volunteer help, aimed at Swiss platform engineers, DevOps and security people and developers working with Kubernetes and the CNCF stack. Since 2023 it has been held on Mount Gurten above Bern, reached by tram and a funicular that is free with a conference ticket, and the organizers size it for roughly two hundred and fifty participants. The 2026 programme, the sixth edition, ran two parallel tracks of 45-minute talks plus a third room for short sponsored slots and a capture-the-flag security challenge. Topics included platform teams and Kubernetes operators at Swisscom, bare-metal Kubernetes, GitOps APIs, supply-chain security, multi-tenancy with Capsule, confidential computing and cloud sovereignty, Gateway API security and workload hardening, with English-language talks from speakers at Swisscom, PostFinance, CERN, Puzzle ITC, ipt and several Swiss start-ups. Sponsored sessions are labelled as such in the schedule, which helps when choosing between rooms. Ticket prices and the call for proposals for 2027 have not been published.
