About Cloud Native Days Italy 2027
Cloud Native Days Italy, formerly KCD Italy, is a non-profit, volunteer-run gathering of the Italian cloud-native and Kubernetes community, now heading into its fifth edition. It stays at the Savoia Hotel Regency in Bologna, where the 2025 and 2026 editions were held, and the organizers have announced 20 May 2027 as the start of a two-day format: a first day of hands-on workshops in small groups, then a conference day with talks, keynotes, a sponsor area and a space for community and open source project booths. The agenda will only be published after the call for papers closes; the site lists Kubernetes, platform engineering, observability, security, GitOps, AI on cloud-native platforms, open source and community as the themes, welcomes first-time speakers, and says proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis until 31 March 2027, though no submission link was live in mid-October 2026. The audience is mostly senior engineers: the 2026 transparency report counts just under three hundred attendees from 18 countries, 49 speakers and 228 proposals, with 62 percent of attendees describing themselves as senior. Tickets go on sale on 1 January 2027 and run from EUR 85 to EUR 160 before VAT for both days including lunch. Talks from earlier editions are on the event's YouTube channel.
