About Rootconf 2026

Rootconf is Hasgeek's long-running conference for people who build and operate production systems in India; the first edition was in 2012, and the community has since added meet-up series, peer-review sessions and topical seminars on cloud cost, data privacy and observability. The 2026 annual conference, themed Platforms for AI, and AI for platforms, looks at both sides of one problem: what inference, model serving and agent workloads demand from platform teams, and where AI helps with incident response, debugging, deployments and security work. Reliability, databases, distributed systems and day-to-day operations stay central. The programme is shaped by community editors from companies such as Nutanix, Rubrik and Couchbase, who work through proposals and rehearsals with speakers instead of picking from abstracts alone; confirmed talks include Grafana's TraceQL internals for Tempo and a production design for resuming AI agent responses after a client disconnects. Conference days are 13 and 14 November at the TERI Auditorium in Domlur, Bengaluru, with a livestream for remote attendees and hands-on workshops on 12 and 21 November. The hybrid conference-plus-workshop ticket costs INR 4,500 until 16 October, when the price goes up; food is not included. The call for proposals closed on 9 October 2026.
