About PLATFORMday San Francisco 2026

PLATFORMday San Francisco is a one-day, two-track community conference on platform engineering, developer experience and infrastructure, held on Friday 6 November 2026 at Sentry's San Francisco office. It comes from the same organisers as the SREday series and the Conf42 online events, who run small in-person days in cities around the world, and the event page promises more than ten speakers and around a hundred attendees, which keeps it intimate. Talks are grouped into platform engineering, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes and cloud native, DevOps and automation, APIs and tooling, and AI for developer platforms. Announced sessions include a Terraform MCP server talk from HashiCorp, lessons from moving off Ingress-NGINX to the Kubernetes Gateway API at Microsoft, the quiet ways Kubernetes can drop logs, the hurdles of using AI in incident management from PagerDuty, and continuous compliance work at Boeing. Speakers had to present in person; the call for proposals closed on 9 October. Registration runs through Luma, and talks from the series are published on YouTube. A good fit for Bay Area platform engineers who want a short, practitioner-heavy day with plenty of time to talk to speakers, on the Friday before KubeCon North America opens.
