About AWS re:Invent 2026
AWS re:Invent is Amazon Web Services' main yearly conference and by far the largest cloud event on the calendar: AWS reported more than 63,000 people in person at the 2025 edition. The 2026 edition runs from 30 November to 4 December across six venues on the Las Vegas Strip, and AWS itself tells attendees to budget real time for walking and shuttles between them. The catalogue lists more than 2,200 sessions, from 100-level introductions to 500-level deep dives, and most are interactive formats rather than lectures: chalk talks, code talks, builders' sessions, workshops, bootcamps and hands-on labs, many of which need a reserved seat. New this year, AWS's former standalone security conference re:Inforce has been folded in, with security content all week and a dedicated security day at the Wynn on Thursday 3 December. There is no public call for papers; speakers are AWS staff, customers and partners. A full pass costs $2,499, with 10% off for groups of ten or more, and the re:Play party is included. If you cannot travel, keynotes and selected sessions are livestreamed free, and breakout recordings land on the AWS Events YouTube channel. Go for the launches, the hands-on sessions and direct access to AWS service teams.
