About PGConf India 2027
PGConf India is the yearly PostgreSQL conference run by the India PostgreSQL User Group, and the 2027 edition returns to the Sheraton Grand at Brigade Gateway in Bengaluru, the same venue as 2026, from 2 to 5 March. It is a database event first, but a practical one for platform and SRE teams that run Postgres in production: the 2027 call for papers asks for talks on high availability, replication and disaster recovery, performance and query tuning, monitoring and day-to-day operations, cloud and infrastructure setups, security and compliance, and real production case studies, next to internals sessions from core developers and talks on pgvector and data platforms. Sessions are 25 or 40 minutes long, and the four days combine hands-on trainings with the main talk programme; in 2026 the organizers warned that training seats were limited and filled quickly. Talks are in English, and the organizers say they expect more than 600 delegates. Ticket prices for 2027 were not published by mid-October 2026; for the 2026 edition early-bird sales closed in early January and prices then rose by more than 20 percent, so teams on a budget should watch for the January deadline. The talk call closes in mid-October 2026, with speaker decisions due by 15 November; a separate call for workshops runs to 1 November.
