About OSMC 2027 (Open Source Monitoring Conference)
The 2027 edition has not been announced yet; these dates are expected, based on the series' usual Tuesday-to-Thursday week in mid-November in Nuremberg. OSMC, the Open Source Monitoring Conference, is organized by the Nuremberg open source company NETWAYS and has run since 2006; its archive lists every year except 2020. It is a specialist event for sysadmins, SREs, monitoring and observability engineers and tool maintainers, and its layout has been the same for years: a day of paid hands-on workshops, followed by two conference days on two tracks with an evening party in between. Recent programmes have covered Prometheus and its exporters, Icinga, Checkmk, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, OpenTelemetry, Elastic, Wazuh, alerting and on-call, network and database monitoring, and GitOps tooling, with speakers from both vendors and user companies. The 2026 edition used the Scandic Nürnberg Central hotel next to the main station, and the 2025 edition was also in Nuremberg, at a different hotel. The organizers describe a typical audience of 250+ international attendees. In 2026 the ticket bundles with hotel nights at the venue sold out first. Recordings and slides from earlier editions are free in the OSMC archive.
