About OSMC 2026 (Open Source Monitoring Conference)
OSMC, the Open Source Monitoring Conference, is run by the Nuremberg open source company NETWAYS and celebrates 20 years in 2026; the first edition was held in 2006. It is a focused event for sysadmins, SREs, monitoring and observability engineers and the maintainers of the tools they use, rather than a general DevOps show. The 2026 edition runs from 17 to 19 November at the Scandic Nürnberg Central hotel, about three minutes' walk from Nuremberg main station. The first day holds three paid full-day workshops: GitOps with Flux, using and understanding Wazuh (in German) and Icinga for Windows. The two conference days that follow run two tracks of 30- to 45-minute talks from speakers at Grafana Labs, VictoriaMetrics, Checkmk, Icinga, Elastic, Percona, Red Hat, NetBox Labs, Chronosphere and end-user companies, covering Prometheus and SNMP exporters, frontend and database observability, alerting, network monitoring and platform tooling. The organizers describe the audience as 250+ international attendees each year, and the evening party on 18 November marks the anniversary. Ticket bundles that include hotel nights at the venue sold out first; the conference-only pass is EUR 1,199 before VAT. Recordings and slides of past talks are free in the OSMC archive.
