About KubeCrash (December 2026)
KubeCrash is a free virtual event of crash courses on cloud native open source and platform engineering, run twice a year since 2022 by a group of community organisers who include CNCF Ambassadors. The next edition is on Wednesday 2 December 2026; the homepage gives the day without a year, but 2 December falls on a Wednesday in 2026 and the previous edition was on 30 April 2026, so the date is clear. The current theme is agentic AI for platform engineering: how to prepare cloud native platforms for autonomous, unpredictable AI workloads while keeping them reliable, secure and observable. The organisers pitch the content as KubeCon-quality talks from open source maintainers, end users and practitioners without vendor pitches, and the spring 2026 line-up included speakers from Microsoft, Red Hat, Zocdoc, Deutsche Bahn and OpenUK. Sessions are short and run over part of a single day, which makes it easy to fit around work. Calls for speakers on Sessionize have used short, curated windows, and none was visible for December when we checked. Recordings of past editions are on the KubeCrash site. Some details on the homepage looked out of date, so confirm the start time before the day.
