fwd:cloudsec North America 2027 is expected around the start of June 2027, but the organizers had not announced the dates or the host city when we checked, so the dates shown are the 2026 edition moved forward 52 weeks to the same weekdays, and are unconfirmed. That shift lands on Memorial Day, so the real dates may well differ. fwd:cloudsec is a non-profit, volunteer-run cloud security conference for practitioners: attack and defence research across the major cloud platforms, the limits of providers' security features, and the trade-offs between security strategies, in talks that would not fit a vendor event. The North American edition moves every year, from Arlington, Virginia in 2024 to Denver in 2025 and the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington in 2026. Most talks are 20 minutes, with a few 40-minute slots, and sessions are streamed live, with questions taken from the room and from the Cloud Security Forum Slack. The call for participation runs in two rounds early in the year with a blind first review; first-time speakers who submit early get detailed feedback, while vendor pitches and introductory talks are turned away. The 2025 Denver edition was planned for 350 people in two tracks, with lunch on both days. Recordings go to the fwd:cloudsec YouTube channel, and a separate European edition runs each September.
