About Open Source Summit Europe 2027

Open Source Summit Europe is the Linux Foundation's annual European gathering for people who build and run open source software, from kernel and embedded developers to cloud, container and security engineers and the open source program office staff who manage company participation. It is broader than a DevOps conference: the 2026 Prague edition ran tracks on cloud and orchestration, packages, images and containers, Linux, open AI and data, digital trust, safety-critical software and open source management, alongside the Embedded Linux Conference and project summits for Zephyr and PX4. For platform and infrastructure engineers the value is in the container, supply-chain and orchestration sessions and in the chance to talk directly to upstream maintainers. The 2027 edition is set for 20 to 22 September in Glasgow, Scotland; so far only a save-the-date page and sponsorship material are published, with no venue, agenda, ticket prices or call for proposals yet. For reference, the 2026 call for proposals ran on Sessionize and closed on 24 June, about fifteen weeks before the event, and accepted formats ranging from lightning talks and 30-40 minute sessions to birds-of-a-feather discussions and longer tutorials. Session recordings from past editions are published on the Linux Foundation's YouTube channel.
