About KCD Texas 2027

KCD Texas moves north for 2027: after three editions in Austin, the Kubernetes Community Day comes to the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Friday 23 April 2027, with the venue still to be announced. It is a one-day, volunteer-run event backed by the CNCF and built for platform, SRE and DevOps engineers who run Kubernetes in production, combining talks with hands-on workshops. The call for proposals runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027; the organisers want end-user stories, ask vendor speakers to share lessons rather than pitches, and will pair first-time speakers with a mentor. Keynotes and the schedule are due on 1 March 2027. The 2026 Austin edition had 27 speakers and 14 sponsors, and 18 of its talks are free to watch on YouTube, which is a good way to judge the level before you submit or buy a ticket. 2027 ticket prices had not been published; for reference, 2026 passes cost between $50 and $150 depending on when you bought them. Local Cloud Native Texas meetups keep the community going between editions. Worth a look for Kubernetes practitioners anywhere in Texas and Oklahoma, and a friendly first stage for new speakers.
