About KCD Suisse Romande 2026
KCD Suisse Romande is the Kubernetes Community Day for French-speaking Switzerland, run by the volunteer Association Cloud Native Suisse Romande with CNCF backing. It is aimed at platform engineers, SREs, developers and researchers from the Geneva-Lausanne area and neighbouring France who want local, practitioner-led cloud-native content rather than a vendor show. The second edition, on 9 and 10 December 2026, returns to CERN. Day one, 9 December, is a warm-up of hands-on workshops in three or more parallel tracks at HPE's Customer Innovation Center in Meyrin, with optional tours of CERN and the LHC. The main day, 10 December, takes place at the CERN Science Gateway with two keynotes, three tracks of conference talks and an after-party. Talks are given in both English and French, and the organizers plan for around three hundred participants, similar to the first edition in December 2025. Tickets are priced to stay affordable: CHF 129 for the main day or CHF 219 including workshops at the normal rate, with a CHF 250 supporter ticket for people whose employer pays. The call for proposals ran on Sessionize through September 2026 and is closed. Talks from the 2025 edition were posted on the association's YouTube channel.
