Tokenomicon + FinOps X 2027

FinOps X, the FinOps Foundation's annual practitioner conference, returns to San Diego from 7 to 10 June 2027 under a new name: Tokenomicon + FinOps X, billed as the conference for the economics of AI. The rename reflects where cloud cost work has gone: alongside the classic FinOps topics of cost allocation, forecasting, commitment management and getting engineering and finance to share one set of numbers, the event now puts the cost of AI workloads, tokens and GPU capacity at the centre. It is co-branded with the new Tokenomics Foundation, a Linux Foundation project, and supported by the FinOps Foundation and the FOCUS billing-data specification project. At the time of writing only a waitlist and a sponsor enquiry form were open; ticket prices, the venue, the agenda and any call for speakers had not been published. The 2026 edition ran over four days at the Marriott Marquis on the downtown waterfront. Breakout talks from past editions, including practitioner case studies from well-known engineering organisations, are free to watch in the FinOps X session library, which is a good way to judge the content. A European edition runs in London in February 2027. Best for FinOps practitioners, platform leads and engineering managers who own a cloud or AI budget.
