About DevOpsDays Los Angeles 2027
DevOpsDayLA is Southern California's DevOpsDays event, held on Friday 2 April 2027 at the Pasadena Convention Center as part of SCaLE 24x, the Southern California Linux Expo. It is the 16th edition of a series that has run almost every year since 2016, and it focuses on the human side of delivery: culture, collaboration and real implementation stories from local companies rather than deep tool tutorials or vendor pitches. The 2027 theme, "AI as a Boon, Not a Goon", asks for honest accounts of how agentic AI is changing coding, infrastructure and teamwork, including the move from loosely prompted code toward spec-driven development, sandboxed agents, token costs and FinOps. The call for presentations opened on 1 September 2026 and closes on 1 November 2026, with acceptances from 1 December. Because it sits inside SCaLE, attendees get access to a much larger open source show on the surrounding days; registration goes through SCaLE, whose full pass was $80 at the early-bird rate when we checked. Expect speakers from entertainment, aerospace, retail and startups across the LA basin. Worth it if you are in SoCal, want a culture-first DevOps day, or are already going to SCaLE.
