Cloud Native Rejekts EU 2027

Cloud Native Rejekts is the community-run b-side to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon: it gives a stage to good talks that did not make the KubeCon programme, plus new proposals on topics too fresh for the main call. It always runs in the KubeCon host city just before the main week, so it suits engineers who are already travelling for KubeCon and want a smaller, more technical warm-up. The 2027 European edition is a two-day in-person event in Barcelona on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 March, directly ahead of KubeCon Europe at Fira Gran Via; the venue has not been named yet. Tickets are free, but registration had not opened by mid-October 2026. The programme mixes 30-minute talks and 5-minute lightning talks on core Kubernetes concepts, open source tooling, user experiences, security and experiments. The call for proposals opens on 7 December 2026, the day KubeCon acceptance notices are due, and closes on 3 January 2027, so it is the natural next stop for anyone whose KubeCon submission was turned down. Sessions are recorded and posted on the Rejekts YouTube channel; the 2026 Amsterdam edition went up there as full-day videos of its two rooms.
