About CLC 2027
The 2027 edition has not been announced yet; these dates are expected, based on the series' usual mid-November Wednesday and Thursday in Mannheim. CLC is a German conference on platform engineering, developer experience and software delivery run by the iX magazine team at Heise together with dpunkt.verlag. It started in 2013 as Continuous Lifecycle, added the ContainerConf sister event in 2016 and has met in Mannheim in recent years, most recently at the Congress Center Rosengarten. The format has been stable: an optional day of paid full-day workshops, then two conference days of roughly 45-minute talks with Q&A, an evening get-together and a sponsor exhibition. Themes in 2026 were platforms built as products, developer experience, agentic AI in delivery, DevSecOps, containers and Kubernetes, infrastructure and operations, and observability and SRE, with speakers from large German and international employers and consultancies. Talks are in German and English. The audience is senior developers, architects, DevOps and platform engineers, infrastructure engineers and team leads. The programme is picked by an advisory board from a spring call for proposals, which in 2026 closed in late April and paid speakers a hotel and rail travel allowance within Germany.
