Talk: Open Source Spirit: Elevating Team Collaboration and Innovation
Over the past four years, I have journeyed through cloud native open source communities, driven by a curiosity to understand how industry-defining projects like Kubernetes thrive, given the intuitively unfavorable circumstances of being primarily volunteer-driven. What is the secret sauce that makes these software engineering projects succeed? While open source development differs in ways from traditional software engineering, the end goal remains the same: creating effective software.
In this talk, we'll explore the practices I observed, learned, and developed by contributing to and leading open source communities. We'll discuss how these practices can be integrated into regular software engineering to enhance collaboration and innovation in your projects.
