Justin Garrison (Sr Developer Advocate, Amazon) gave the talk “Putting the "lie" in reliability” at DevOps Stage 2023, held online on 6 October 2023.
Justin wrote the book Cloud Native Infrastructure and has over 6 years of Kubernetes experience. He worked on movies, helped build Disney+, and now works on Amazon EKS.
It’s my first day at Air C and D. I’m the new SRE and I need to make our service more reliable. The site goes live in 3 days. Let’s figure out how to keep our 9s while under pressure of launch. What components are the most critical to reliability and how can we implement them quickly.
