DevOpsDays Chicago 2027

DevOpsDays Chicago is back on 10 and 11 August 2027 at the UIC Forum on the University of Illinois Chicago campus, a return to the venue after a 2025 edition held downtown on Wacker Drive. Chicago is one of the oldest DevOpsDays cities in the US, with events almost every year since 2014, and the organisers promise the usual blend of two days of talks, Ignites and open spaces, plus, in their words, plenty of good-natured yak-wrangling. Expect a single-track morning programme of practitioner talks on delivery, reliability, platform work and team practices, followed by open space sessions where the audience sets the agenda. The local team posts talk recordings on its YouTube channel, which is a good way to judge the style before buying a ticket or submitting. At the time of writing the event was in save-the-date mode: the call for proposals, ticket prices and speakers had not been announced, and the organisers point people to their mailing list for updates. A strong choice for Midwest engineers who want a community event with a long track record, and for speakers who want a recorded talk in front of an experienced crowd.
